I’ve shared with you that we’re traveling with our two dogs. I thought it was time to make introductions.
Sadie is our three-year-old Springer Spaniel mix and loves to play ball until she can’t find the energy to continue. Hannah is our 12-year-old Border Collie mix, a laid back, sweet bundle of joy that loves everyone she meets. Both were rescued and they’ve been incredible additions to our family. In fact, we joke that we bought our very first motor home so we wouldn’t have to board the dogs when we traveled. At first, we were concerned about how they would take the move into a smaller space but we’ve been pleasantly surprised by their transition. We truly believe they are happier as they are with mom and dad every day and they’re much closer to us because of the size of their new digs. They’ve met so many new friends on walks, in the river, and at the dog park so this adventure seems to be just as interesting to them as it is to us.
We’ve been blessed with these companions of ours. They’ve shown us unconditional love and we can only hope our travels will benefit them, as well. So far, so good. After all, they get three squares a day, snacks in the morning and afternoon, daily walks, butt-sniffing opportunities, and, bonus, mom and dad clean up their poop a couple of times a day so they don’t have to sniff it or step in it later. What more could you want as a dog?
